This page describes, in plain terms, what CrewPresence does and doesn't do with data. It is not a substitute for legal advice. If you need a version of this policy tailored to a specific jurisdiction's requirements, or have questions about how it applies to your company, contact us at sales@trucell.com.au.
A device identifier for each paired phone, and the name, email, and role of the employee it is paired to (when the account holder provides those).
A location fix only at the moment a phone crosses a geofence boundary the company has drawn around one of its own sites: an entry event, an exit event, its timestamp, and the coordinates of that specific crossing. That is the only location data CrewPresence ever captures.
Whether the app currently has the device permissions it needs to run (location, notifications), so an admin can see if something needs fixing.
No continuous location tracking, and no route or path between an entry and an exit, on site or off. The app has no code path that requests or stores a continuous location trail.
Nothing at all outside a nominated site boundary: no location on a commute, a lunch break, a day off, or after a phone is unpaired.
The public pages of crewpresence.com (not the portal or the apps) set one first-party cookie, cp_vid, holding a random visitor ID for up to 400 days, and keep a random session ID and the page and campaign that first brought you here (for example utm_ tags) in your browser's storage. Each page you view is sent with those IDs to Trucell's customer relationship system, so that if you later contact us or request a demo, our sales and support team can see which pages you looked at. It is not used for advertising and is not shared with anyone else.
If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, none of this happens: no cookie is set and no page views are sent. You can also clear the cookie at any time in your browser's settings.
To give the company operating an account an accurate attendance record: who was on which site, and for how long. That's the entire purpose of the product.
Only people the account holder's company has given admin or site manager access to. Every company's data is isolated from every other company's at the database level; there is no cross-company visibility.
We do not sell location or attendance data, and we do not share it with third parties except where the company account holder directs us to (for example, exporting a report) or where the law requires it.
All traffic to and from CrewPresence is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to the admin portal and API requires an authenticated, role-scoped account.
Attendance records are kept for as long as the company's account is active, so the history stays useful for reporting and compliance. If you'd like data deleted sooner, contact us and we'll action it.
You can ask the company that operates your CrewPresence account to unpair your device at any time, which stops tracking immediately. To access, correct, or request deletion of data about you, contact your employer directly, or reach us at the address below and we will assist.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update this page and change the date below.
